Drvenik Veli is an island in the central Dalmatia, placed northwest of the island of Solta, between Drvenik and Solta Channels. The main occupations of people here are farming, viticulture, olive growing and fishing. The coast of this beautiful island is indented, with numerous coves and pebble beaches.
This beautiful paradise is located just off the mainland of Croatia. The total population of the island is around 170 people. They make their living fishing, farming and inviting tourist to share the wonders of an ancient island. Only the village Drvenik Veli is bigger village at island. At the coast are bays with sandy and pebbles beaches. The church of St. Juraj is located at Drvenik Veli and was built in the 16th century.
Crystal clear sea, hidden bays, cliffs, olive fields, carob, rosemary... this is the tourist offer of Drvenik Veli. In the quest for peace, tranquility and untouched nature there is no need for our guests to give up the benefits of civilization - there are shops, one post office, a bakery and restaurants on the island.
